



Asst. Prof. Dr. Mathinee Yucharoen, together with Ms. Sopita Manarungraung and Ms. Natthayada Thuawasat, researchers and master’s students of the Coastal Oceanography and Climate Change Research Center (COCC), served as speakers in a training session for volunteers from the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation in the Thepha community.
The training aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of coral reef ecosystems, their ecological importance, and approaches to sustainable utilization and conservation. The speakers provided both theoretical knowledge and practical insights, emphasizing the role of local communities and volunteers in protecting marine resources and promoting long-term ecosystem resilience.
This activity reflects the Center’s commitment to community engagement, capacity building, and the transfer of scientific knowledge to support effective marine conservation and sustainable resource management at the local level.
