COCC organized a Mini-Symposium “Reinventing the Blue Lens: Advanced Technologies for Ocean Discovery”

During the symposium, researchers from COCC delivered special lectures on key environmental issues.

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutinee Sinutok presented on the potential of seagrass blue carbon and marine ecophysiology in mitigating climate change, highlighting the role of coastal ecosystems as natural climate solutions.
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siriporn Pradit shared findings on microplastic contamination in Songkhla Lagoon and adjacent coastal areas, emphasizing the importance of monitoring and management strategies to protect marine ecosystems and community livelihoods.

The symposium reinforced the Center’s commitment to advancing ocean research, promoting technological innovation, and strengthening international collaboration to support sustainable marine and coastal development.
