During the visit, the team introduced students to research projects currently conducted at the research center, explaining how scientists study coastal environments and climate-related challenges. Students also toured the laboratories and were introduced to a range of scientific instruments used to investigate marine and coastal ecosystems. The demonstrations highlighted the research center’s facilities and the practical tools that support environmental research.
By connecting students with researchers and providing firsthand experience in a research environment, the Open House encouraged participants to learn more about marine science and climate research. The activity also offered valuable insight into how scientific research contributes to understanding and managing coastal environments.
