COCC workshop strengthens evidence synthesis skills for marine science research

The workshop featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phanuphong Phuttharak, Assistant President for Research and Innovation System, as the invited speaker. During the session, he shared his expertise and practical experience in conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses, while also discussing best practices and common challenges encountered throughout the research process. The interactive format encouraged participants to exchange ideas and deepen their understanding of evidence synthesis methods.

By equipping participants with these essential research skills, the workshop supports the development of more rigorous, transparent, and reproducible marine science research. Evidence synthesis methods such as systematic reviews and meta-analysis play an increasingly important role in summarizing existing knowledge, identifying research gaps, and supporting scientific and policy decisions based on the best available evidence

The workshop received a positive response from participants, reflecting the growing interest in advanced research methodologies and COCC’s ongoing commitment to fostering research excellence and capacity building within the marine science community.
