From April 20–22, 2026, Coastal Oceanography and Climate Change Research Center (COCC), in collaboration with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and Krabi Power Plant, organized the 4th EGAT Biodiversity Rangers Youth Camp at Tako Meeting Room, Salt Hot Spring Resort in Krabi Province.

Held under the theme “Be Part of The Sea Story,” the camp brought together 40 upper secondary school students from across Thailand to deepen their understanding of biodiversity and the ecological importance of seagrass meadows, one of Krabi’s most valuable coastal ecosystems.

COCC researchers led a series of interactive learning sessions on marine and coastal ecosystems, the concept of blue carbon, carbon naturally captured and stored by coastal ecosystems, and the environmental pressures affecting Thailand’s marine resources.
